What the scan sees
before you do.
Most eye disease is silent for years. These are the four things we look for at every test, and where we see them.
Glaucoma
Damage to the optic nerve, often with raised eye pressure. Painless and slow.
Seen on OCT
Macular degeneration
Changes at the centre of the retina, the part you read with.
Seen on OCT
Diabetic changes
Small bleeds and swelling in the retina's blood vessels.
Seen on OCT
Cataracts
A clouding of the lens inside the eye. Common after sixty, easy to treat.
Seen on slit lamp

Myopia starts early.
We check every child.
Children who read and use screens a lot are becoming short-sighted earlier. We check every child for it, and we can slow it down with special lenses and regular checks.
